Privacy Policy

What we collect, why we collect it, and exactly when an employer is allowed to see your phone number. Written to describe how the service actually works.

1. Who We Are

Clickjob.in is a recruitment and talent acquisition consultancy focused on the Indian automobile and automotive industry. This policy explains what information we collect through our website, why we collect it, who it is shared with, and the choices you have.

For any privacy question or request, write to Info@clickjob.in or Hr@clickjob.in.

2. Information We Collect

From candidates, when you create an account or apply for a job:

  • Name, email address and password. Passwords are stored only as a salted hash by our authentication provider. We never see or store your actual password.
  • Your role, expressed as one Industry, one Department and one Designation, plus your years of experience.
  • Your locations: the city you currently work in, your home or native place, the cities you would prefer to work in, and whether you are willing to relocate.
  • Optionally your current employer, notice period, salary, skills and OEM experience.
  • Your phone number and your resume, where you provide them.

From employers and recruiters, when you register:

  • Your name, work email address and password.
  • Your company name and, if you complete the company profile, its industry, size, description, logo, plant locations, OEM clients, website and optionally a GST number provided to speed up verification.

From visitors who are not registered:

  • The Industry, Department and Designation you browse, stored in your own browser so your selection survives a page reload.
  • An email address, only if you choose to be alerted when a matching job is posted.

Our hosting and database providers also process standard technical information such as IP address, browser type and request logs in order to serve the site and protect it from abuse.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information above to operate the recruitment service and for no unrelated purpose. Specifically:

  • To match candidates and jobs on the exact Industry, Department and Designation, together with the experience range set on the job.
  • To show employers the candidates who match a role they have posted, so they can shortlist.
  • To order that list. Your locations and your answer on relocating decide where you appear in it. They never decide whether you appear in it.
  • To let you apply for jobs, save jobs, and track the status of your applications.
  • To send job alerts you have asked for, and service messages such as email verification.
  • To verify employer companies, and to enforce the daily limits that protect candidate contact details from bulk harvesting.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use it for advertising, and we do not build advertising profiles.

4. How Your Contact Details Are Protected

This is the part of the service candidates care about most, so we state it precisely.

Your phone number, email address and your uploaded resume file are stored separately from the rest of your profile, and are not included when an employer views a matched candidate list. An employer browsing candidates sees your experience, skills, your four location answers (current city, home location, preferred cities and whether you would relocate), notice period and a contact-stripped resume summary. Your surname, phone number, email address and resume file remain hidden.

An employer can obtain your contact details only by performing an explicit reveal, and a reveal is permitted only when all of the following are true: the employer holds an account attached to a company, the job is one that company posted and is still live, your role matches that job's exact Industry, Department and Designation, and your experience falls inside that job's stated range.

Every reveal is recorded, with the company, the candidate, the job and the time. Companies are limited to 5 reveals in any rolling 24-hour period, or 50 if the company has completed manual verification. These checks are enforced by our database, not merely by the interface.

Because every reveal is recorded, we can tell you which companies have accessed your contact details. Ask us at Info@clickjob.in.

5. Who Can See Your Profile

A candidate profile becomes visible to employers only once it is active. Which, in practice, means once a resume has been provided. Until then your applications are held and your profile is not surfaced in employer searches.

Employers see only candidates who match a role they have actually posted. An employer hiring for Sheet Metal Quality cannot browse Plastic Production candidates; there is no way to widen this from the employer side, because the restriction is applied by the database on every request.

Job listings are public by design. Anyone, including visitors without an account, can read a job in full. Company profiles and the company directory are public. Candidate profiles are never public.

6. Who We Share Information With

We share personal information only in these circumstances:

  • With an employer, when you apply to their job, or when they perform a permitted and recorded contact reveal as described above.
  • With service providers who operate the platform on our behalf: Supabase, which hosts our database, authentication and file storage; and Vercel, which hosts and serves the website. These providers process data on our instructions.
  • With an email delivery provider, for verification messages and the job alerts you have requested.
  • Where we are required to do so by law, or to establish, exercise or defend legal claims, or to investigate misuse of the platform.

We do not sell, rent or trade personal information to any third party.

7. How Long We Keep It

We keep candidate and employer account information for as long as the account remains open, because a recruitment profile is only useful while it is current.

You can delete your account yourself, at any time, from your profile page. Deletion is immediate and permanent. There is no recovery window. It removes your login, your profile, your phone number and email address, your resume file, your applications, saved jobs and alerts, and the records of which companies revealed your contact details.

For an employer account, deletion also removes your shortlists and your link to the company. If you are the last member of that company, its live jobs are unpublished so that candidates stop applying to a posting nobody is reading. The company's entry in our public directory remains and can be claimed again by a future colleague.

Job alert emails left by visitors without an account are kept until the alert is no longer wanted or is withdrawn.

8. Your Rights and Choices

You may, at any time:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you, and ask for a copy.
  • Correct anything that is inaccurate. Candidates can edit most of their profile directly, including changing their Industry, Department and Designation.
  • Delete your account and the personal information associated with it, yourself, from your profile page. You do not need to ask us and you do not need to wait.
  • Withdraw consent for job alerts, or unsubscribe from them.
  • Ask which companies have revealed your contact details.
  • Raise a grievance about how your information has been handled.

To exercise any of these, write to Info@clickjob.in from the email address on your account. We will respond within a reasonable period. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may escalate to the relevant data protection authority.

We process personal information on the basis of the consent you give when you create an account or submit a job application, and to perform the recruitment service you have asked us for. Our handling of personal data of individuals in India is intended to align with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

9. How We Protect Your Information

The measures below are technical, not aspirational. They are how the system is built:

  • Access rules are enforced by the database itself, so a request that should not return your data returns nothing, regardless of what the website asks for.
  • Contact details live in a separate, separately-restricted store from the rest of your profile, and are released only through a single controlled path that checks the match and the daily limit together.
  • Resume files are held in private storage under a path tied to your account, reachable only by you and by an employer who has performed a permitted reveal. Uploads are checked on our servers for type and size. We accept PDF and Word documents only, up to 5 MB, and inspect the file's contents rather than trusting what your browser calls it.
  • Passwords are stored as salted hashes by our authentication provider. Traffic is encrypted in transit.

No system can promise perfect security, and we do not. If a breach affects your personal information, we will inform you and the appropriate authority as required by law.

10. Children

Clickjob.in is a service for working professionals and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will remove it.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as the service changes or as the law requires. The revised policy takes effect when posted on this page, and the date at the top will tell you when it last changed. Where a change materially affects how we handle your information, we will make reasonable efforts to notify you.

12. Contact Us

For any question, request or grievance about privacy, write to Info@clickjob.in or Hr@clickjob.in, or use the contact details on our contact page.
